Our mission

ConvertProf exists to make unit conversion and scientific calculation effortless for everyone — students, engineers, cooks, runners, translators, scientists. We build clean, fast, ad-supported but never ad-cluttered tools that load instantly on any device, work without sign-up, and give you the answer in one click.

What we cover

ConvertProf supports more than 15 conversion categories and a full scientific calculator:

• Length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, time, data
• Cooking & kitchen, running pace, energy, power
• Historical length, historical mass, historical area
• Scientific calculator with trigonometry, logarithms and constants

Editorial standards

Every conversion factor on ConvertProf is sourced from primary references and cross-checked against at least two of the following authorities:

• NIST Special Publication 811 (US National Institute of Standards and Technology)
• BIPM SI Brochure (Bureau International des Poids et Mesures)
• ISO 80000 series (Quantities and units)
• EU Regulation 1169/2011 for nutritional energy values

Historical units (pood, verst, cubit, desyatina) follow the standardised values published in academic metrology references; we explicitly note where regional and period variation existed.

Accuracy methodology

Our conversion engine performs all internal math in double-precision IEEE-754 floating point, then displays results rounded to six significant figures. For most everyday use this matches the precision of professional engineering calculators. For mission-critical work (medication, aerospace, certified survey) we recommend cross-checking with primary sources.

Independence

ConvertProf is independently operated. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored conversions, or affiliate kickbacks within our converter results. Display advertising (Google AdSense) is clearly separated from editorial content and never influences which conversions we publish.
